#People of eco:fibr: Merit!

Hey, I am Merit! 👋

I am Co-Founder at eco:fibr and responsible for finance and sales. My background is in biotechnology, and I already conducted research on cellulose extraction in the direct context of eco:fibr during my studies. For me it was important from the very beginning to combine science and entrepreneurship, and that is exactly what I get to live out every day at eco:fibr.

Outside of work I am currently converting a fire engine into a camper, which pushes me to my limits on a regular basis and is an enormous amount of fun at the same time. Craftsmanship, patience and a little bit of chaos are all part of it, but the result will be worth it. When I am not working on the truck, I spend time with my dog Zebra, who originally came from Romania and has long since become an indispensable part of our everyday life. 🐾

One topic that is particularly close to my heart is entrepreneurship. I want to encourage young people and women to turn their ideas into action and take the leap into building something of their own. Because I believe the startup world needs more courageous voices and perspectives.
