#Happy Pineapple Day

Did you know that today is Pineapple Day? 🍍✨

When people think of pineapples, they often think of summer, juice or the fruit itself. We also look at what remains on the field after harvest: large parts of the pineapple plant that are often hardly used further.

This is where ecological and economic challenges arise, but also untapped potential. Plant-based residues are often treated and disposed of in environmentally harmful ways. At the same time, they can become a valuable raw material source when processed purposefully. At eco:fibr, this is exactly where we come in. We obtain and process mechanically prepared dry fibers from pineapple plant residues and develop fiber solutions that are relevant for industrial applications.

We make targeted use of existing resources instead of putting unnecessary pressure on new raw material sources. In this way, we create a connection between agricultural residues and new material applications. ♻️🤝

For us, Pineapple Day is therefore a good opportunity to share this perspective. Not only on the fruit, but on the potential of the entire plant. 🍍🌿
