eco:fibr receives €250,000 in funding from the BMWE
This week brings some great news – and a major milestone for our upcoming scale-up:
eco:fibr has been awarded approximately €250,000 in funding through the “Industrial Bioeconomy” program by the BMWi. The funding period begins in November 2025.
What does this mean for us?
The program supports the transfer of bio-based products and processes into industrial practice.
Our goal: scaling our extraction process to achieve industrial validation of pineapple fibers.
We will carry out the scale-up trials together with an external service provider from the European pulp industry.
This funding is a crucial step in bringing our technology closer to industrial application and elevating it to the next level.
For us, this is a strong signal: our approach works – and we’re receiving support exactly where it matters most for the industry.
