We secure supply for larger production volumes

Our raw material supply in and from Costa Rica is stable – especially when it comes to fresh plant material.

However, for toll manufacturing we need several tons of dried and pre-shredded pineapple plant material. And right now, only a few specialized providers in Costa Rica offer this.

To secure supply for larger production volumes, we have therefore reached out to producers in Asia and Africa as well. From these regions, we’ve already received our first samples – dried and pre-shredded material ready for testing.

With one supplier in Indonesia, we already know: It works. The first five tons are currently being collected and pre-treated for us.

Next step:

We’ll refine the samples together with our partner fiber-rec. This allows us to evaluate material quality and place further orders before the end of December.
