#People of eco:fibr: Niklas!

Hey, I am Niklas! 👋

I am CTO at eco:fibr and responsible for technical development and product optimisation. My background is in plant biotechnology, which helps me understand the properties of plant-based fibres in detail and continuously develop our process further. For me it is important not only to understand how something works, but also why, and what can be made from it.

What drives me every day at eco:fibr is the opportunity to directly connect research and practice. Plant properties and fibre morphology might sound dry at first, but behind them lies the exciting question of how to turn a plant-based residue into something industrially usable. It is exactly this connection between science and application that motivates me again and again. Because in the end it is about creating real value from something that has so far been overlooked.

In my personal life I like to stay active with football, gym and running, the balance to desk work does me good. And yes, for anyone wondering whether I like pineapples, the answer is no.

But that does not make working with the plant any less fascinating, quite the opposite. 😄🍍
