#FIZZ 2026

On Tuesday, our co-founder Julian attended the FIZZ Dialogue Forum in Cologne, a cross-industry event organized by the FaserInnovationsZentrum Zerkall, focusing on bio-based fiber alternatives 🎤.

During the panel on paper and packaging, moderated by Dr. Rosario Othen, Julian presented our approach to how fibers from pineapple plants can serve as an alternative for industrial applications. The discussion focused on the potential, but above all on the challenges of establishing a supply chain for bio-based fibers. For us, it is clear that this requires not only innovation, but also the right partnerships and framework conditions.

What was particularly interesting was that the focus extended beyond paper and packaging: stakeholders from the textile and construction industries were also present, each with their own panel 🧵.

It was very insightful to learn more about other industries and applications that are facing similar questions and challenges to ours.
