#ESR in Motion

Three days at ECR in Motion, and we now walk through the supermarket differently đź›’.

Merit and Jana were at ECR in Motion and the ECR Awards in Bonn for eco:fibr, the industry gathering hosted by GS1 Germany. Three days full of insights into a world that usually stays hidden behind the shelf for us.

One learning stuck with us in particular. Some promotional displays contain eye-tracking cameras that measure where we look đź‘€. At the shelf, every second of attention is fought for, and that is exactly what makes the topic of packaging and materiality so exciting.

The big industry topic was the PPWR, the new EU packaging regulation, especially when it comes to plastic packaging. It is currently moving the entire consumer goods industry.

The classic FMCG world is new territory for us, which is precisely why we took away so much about how the industry works, along with valuable new contacts. A particular highlight was meeting brands like Alnatura and Yogi Tea, which are a bit closer to our world.

We're taking away plenty of impressions and new perspectives, and a sharper sense of where our fiber fits into this world 🍍.

Do you work at a brand whose products could stand out more on the shelf? Then feel free to reach out to us. Together, we'll look at how your packaging can differentiate itself through materiality.
