#A Look Into Our Startup Life

Where is our team actually based? The honest answer is, in lots of different places. We work fully remote and are spread across Lower Saxony, North Rhine-Westphalia and Baden-Württemberg. So there is no shared office where we all see each other every morning. 🌱

In a young company like ours, a lot can change faster than you could ever plan for in the long run, a surprising test result, an idea that turns out in conversation to be better than the original approach, or simply a new priority that emerges from the day-to-day. So that we do not lose ourselves in this constant change but can keep adjusting to it again and again, we give ourselves fixed anchor points in the calendar.

Every two weeks we meet for sprint planning, look back together at what happened over the past two weeks, and decide what to work on next, and in doing so everyone on the team gets an insight into what the others are currently working on. In between, we have a daily several times a week, a short but regular update so that we always know where things stand and where something might be shifting right now. Once a week there is also a digital coffee break, where it gets personal too and is not only about work.

It is exactly this regular exchange that helps us keep up with change and ensures that, even as a largely remote team, we keep a good feel for one another.
